Ketogenic Meatballs with Puree


  • 1,1 lbs ground beef or lamb
  • 1 egg
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour or stale Keto bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley if you wish,
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  • For the avocado puree:
  • 3 avocados
  • 0,198 lbs  grated cheddar/mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 glass of water
  • pinch of salt
  • A pinch of black pepper.

In a large bowl, place ground beef or lamb. Add finely chopped onion, finely chopped parsley, stale Keto bread crumbs or coconut flour, eggs and spices and knead well with your hands.

Cut the avocados in half, remove the seeds and dice them.

In another bowl, mash the chopped avocado, grated cheddar/mozzarella cheese, butter and salt with a fork.

Cut the meatballs into tangerine-sized pieces (approximately 0,11 lbs) and give them a bowl shape.

Arrange the meatballs on a greased baking tray and place the avocado puree on them.

Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F until golden brown.

Meanwhile, to prepare the sauce, pour water, tomato paste, salt and pepper together in a small saucepan and cook for a few minutes.

Take the meatballs out of the oven, add the sauce to them and return them to the oven.
