Markook Bread (Saudi Arabia)

Markook or shrak is a popular Middle Eastern bread made with a combination of wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water. It is traditionally cooked on the hot metal. Once properly cooked, the markook should have a very thin and flattened appearance.

Bread is usually folded and bagged, then sold in many Middle Eastern markets.
