FLAKY PASTRY ( TURKEY)


  • 1.5 cups of milk
  • ½ cup of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 5 cups of flour

  • 200 gr. butter - melted

  • Parsley
for Top
  • Egg yolk
Take flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl and mix.
Open the middle of the dry mixture to form a pool.
Add milk and yogurt and knead first with a fork and then with your hands.
Divide your dough into 8 equal parts and roll it into a meringue.
Cover them with a cloth and rest for 20 minutes.

Take one of the rested meringues and sprinkle it with light flour and roll it out as round as you can with the help of a rolling pin.
Grease all sides of the rolled dough with melted butter with the help of a brush.
Grease the edges to form a rectangle.
Then fold the remaining edges with oil and shape into an envelope.
Put your dough in the fridge and let it sit.

Take the other meringue and roll it out with the help of a rolling pin.
Grease it and put the meringue you prepared, and in the same way, grease all the layers and fold them and keep them in the refrigerator.
Prepare the other meringues in the same way, cover them and let them rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Take one of the rested dough and open it lengthwise and transversely.
Put the parsley with cheese in the middle part and close it on the right and left sides and combine with your hands.
Place them on a baking tray with baking paper, brush them with egg yolk and make cuts with a knife.
Bake in a preheated oven at 352 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
