Picante de Mariscos (Peru)
Picante de mariscos is a traditional Peruvian dish originating from the coastal regions. This spicy stir-fry is usually prepared with a combination of garlic, oil, potatoes, onions, white wine, chili pepper, cumin, parsley, and seafood such as squid, mussels, oysters, and shrimp.
Washed and minced seafood is cooked with vegetables and white wine until the sauce thickens. This seafood stir-fry is traditionally served with boiled potatoes sprinkled with chopped parsley. If desired, the dish can be enriched with the addition of boiled eggs, walnuts or walnuts and tomatoes.
