Tapalapa Bread (Gambia )

Tapalapa is a traditional Gambian bread that is also very popular in Guinea and Senegal. It is made by adding corn flour, cow - pea flour, yeast, salt and water with a mixture of millet and wheat flour. Visually, it looks like a French baguette, but inside is much denser and heavier, and its taste resembles bagels.

Bread is often bought for breakfast and people like to pair it with jam, butter or eggs.
