Bustrengo (San Marino)
- ½ cup cornmeal
- 2 cups flour
- 1½ cups breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cups of milk
- 5 tablespoons of honey
- 0,88 lbs apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 0,22 lbs dried figs, chopped
- 0,22 lbs raisins
- Grated lemon peel
- 1 orange zest
Preheat the oven to 320 F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Mix the cornmeal, flour, breadcrumbs, salt, egg and oil.
Mix milk and honey.
Add the chopped apples, dried figs, raisins and skins, stirring gently.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
