Cornish Pasty (England)

Cornish pasty is a popular dish native to Cornwall. Shaped like the letter D or half moon, this crispy and juicy pastry is stuffed with beef and various root vegetables and spices. The golden color of the pastry is achieved using eggs or milk, while it is stuffed with potatoes, turnips, onions, chopped veal, herbs and spices.

The final product has a well-balanced, delicious flavor as only high-quality beef and vegetables from the Cornwall region are used in it. Cornish pasty is believed to have been invented as a practical, portable meal for tin miners who couldn't get out of the mines for lunch, and its thick crust kept the fillings warm for a long time.
