Khao Piak Sen - SOUP (Laos)


Khao piak sen is a Laos noodle soup served at dinner. It is made by boiling galangal, which can be complemented with lime leaves, lemongrass, garlic, and fish sauce. Thick noodles (made from a process of rice flour and tapioca) are then added to the broth and released from some of them, which thickens a bit in this application.

The dish is garnished with chicken, cilantro, cabbage, scallions, cooking cuisines, and lemon juice. Khao piak is made a lot, served at family gatherings and crowded social events.
