LEMONCELLO


  • 10 lemon
  • 1,10 LBS granulated sugar
  • 33,08 oz of water

 

Grate the lemons and put the zest in a large glass bottle or jar. Pour the vodka into it. Cover loosely and allow to infuse for a week at room temperature. After a week, combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring it to boil. Do not mix. Boil for 15 minutes. Let the syrup cool to room temperature. Strain into glass bottles and seal each bottle with a cork. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for 2 weeks. Mix the vodka mixture with the syrup. Strain into glass bottles and seal each bottle with a cork. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for 2 weeks. Place the bottled beverage in the freezer. When it's ice cold, serve in chilled vodka glasses or shot glasses.
